Your content may include personal data about other people (for example, people who appear or speak in your videos). You are responsible for having their permission; we process it only on your behalf to provide the Service.

3. Legal bases

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on: contract — to provide the Service you signed up for; legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and improve it, balanced against your rights; legal obligation — for tax and accounting records; and consent — where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who processes your data for us

We use a small number of service providers to run Taleform. They may only use your data to provide their service to us, under contracts that protect it.

Provider typeWhat they doWhat they receive
Payments — StripeTakes card payments, runs subscriptions, calculates tax and sends receiptsName, email, billing address, tax ID, payment details
Network and website — CloudflareDelivers the website securely, protects it from attacks, and counts visits to taleform.net (Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t track you across sites)Your IP address and the requests your browser makes
Email — MicrosoftSends and receives account emails from taleform.netYour email address and the messages we send you
AI model providersTranscribe speech, choose and describe footage, and write scripts and ideasOnly the excerpts needed for each task (for example, a short audio clip, still frames or text), not your whole account

The Service itself — your account, workspace and files — runs on servers we operate in [country]. Some providers above process data in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers are protected by safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose data if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our members or others, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

5. Cookies

We only use cookies that are needed for the Service to work:

CookiePurposeHow long
tf_sessionKeeps you signed in, across Taleform and its studiosUp to 30 days (ends sooner after 7 days of no use or when you sign out)
tf_refRemembers who invited you, if you arrived through a referral link30 days
tf_theme, tf_styleRemember your light/dark choice and colour style across the studios1 year
tf_returnUsed only when the support team opens a workspace, to return them to their own account2 hours

Your browser may also store a few preferences locally (such as the last studio you used). We don’t use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. To understand how many people visit our front page, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or any identifier that follows you.

6. How long we keep data

7. Security

Each member’s workspace is stored and run separately. Passwords are stored only as strong one-way hashes, sessions can be ended from your account, connections are encrypted, and access by our support team is recorded and shown in your account. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw consent. You can download your work from the studios at any time and update your details in your account. For anything else, email hello@taleform.net — we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Children

Taleform is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a significant way, we will email you before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
