Start your first edit in Simple
Simple makes a finished vertical video from the clips you filmed and the words you recorded. This guide takes you from an empty studio to an edit that is working.
This guide is for you if
- You have clips on your phone or computer and a voice recording, or footage where you speak on camera
- You want a short vertical video without learning a timeline
Step by step.
- 1. Open Simple and press New
From your Taleform home, open the Simple studio and start a new project. Give it a name you will recognise in My videos.
- 2. Add your clips and your voice
Drop in the clips as they came out of the camera, in any order, and the narration as a separate recording. If you spoke on camera instead, add that footage and Simple uses the words from it.
- 3. Choose what leads
Pick “Let my words lead” for a story told in your voice, or “Keep it in sequence” for things filmed in order. Say whether you are on camera or the footage is Scenery-led, so the edit looks for the right thing.
- 4. Choose the quality and the length
Each edit can be Lite, Standard, Pro or Extreme. The studio shows the credits an edit will take and a rough wait before you start; the exact charge is settled on the finished length.
- 5. Start, and let it work
You can close the page. The narration comes back tidied first, for you to hear and approve, and the video is cut after that. If you have gone away, Taleform emails you when each is ready.
Good to know.
Do I have to be in the footage?
No. Choose Scenery-led and the edit is built around your words and your scenery.
What does it cost?
Edits are charged by the minute of finished video, 100 credits a minute at Standard quality, rounded up to the half minute. You see the estimate before you start.
Your story, finally edited.
Simple is free for seven days. Bring the footage you’ve been meaning to do something with.
