Listen to the narration and refine it
Before any picture is cut, Simple plays you the narration it will build the video on. This is the moment to shape the words; the pictures follow them.
This guide is for you if
- Your edit has reached “Ready to listen”
- You want to change the words before the video is made
Step by step.
- 1. Press play
Hear the whole narration. Repeats, false starts and long pauses are already trimmed; your voice is exactly as you recorded it.
- 2. Leave a line out
Tap any line to drop it. The video is built only from the lines that stay.
- 3. Ask for a change in plain words
Type what should be different, for example “start with the second line” or “cut the part about the weather”. Simple makes the change and plays it again. The first ten changes to a video’s narration, title or graphics are free.
- 4. Approve
When it sounds right, press Approve. The video is cut next and you are told when it is ready to watch.
Good to know.
Can I change the words after the video is made?
Yes. Ask for changes to the narration from the video review and a new version is made; narration changes do not count as a picture redo.
Will it replace my voice?
Never unless you choose a generated voice. Your own recording is always the default.
Your story, finally edited.
Simple is free for seven days. Bring the footage you’ve been meaning to do something with.
